At the end of November, the University of Lorraine joined CoARA, the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment, a European coalition for improving research assessment. The coalition was officially launched on December 1, bringing together nearly 400 European research institutions, including nearly 40 French organizations, including HCERES, ANR and CNRS. Based on 10 commitments, it defines a common European orientation for changes in research evaluation practices to maximize its quality and impact.
