In order to publish research data in open access, it is necessary to format it and accompany it with metadata, i.e. documentation that helps to understand it. All the best practices to follow to facilitate its visibility and usefulness are summarised under the acronym ‘FAIR’ (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable). Feedback on the supervision of an intern recruited to facilitate this process.
