Publishing an article, a chapter or a communication has been the main means of scientific communication for more than 300 years.

The transition to digital technology has led to major changes at many levels: wide and open distribution of publications, peer-reviewing methods, enriched content, link with data, etc.

New forms of publication have emerged. New types of journals and new publishers have also emerged. This change, which concerns all disciplines, is still ongoing, often for the better and sometimes for the worse.

During this training, an overview will be proposed to allow doctoral students to situate themselves in this changing context and consider contributing, at their own level, to this transformation.
