The COVID19 pandemic requires a globally coordinated response from the scientific community. The sharing of research data and the development of open access to scientific research is currently hampered by the business model of large corporations such as Elsevier and Springer-Nature. In order to encourage and promote open access to scientific knowledge, the University of Lorraine calls on its researchers to deposit the author version of their publications in the HAL open archive and to continue to reflect on the sharing of research data.

The COVID19 pandemic due to the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus that is currently raging is a challenge for healthcare personnel and the hospital system, for our societies as a whole, but also for researchers, whose work may lead to a treatment and a vaccine.
